Where you live is no longer an excuse for not doing your best work and sharing it with the world. With technology, the world is essentially a global village. Of course, there may be global limitations concerning access to some global payment systems and platforms, but there are ways to walk around it if you mean business.
If you live in a country where you cannot receive payment via PayPal, for example, there are other platforms like Payoneer, etc. that you can use to receive payments. Some third-party processors act as middlemen for a fee.
Also, you can live in Country A and create a product for Country B. Geography is no longer a limiting factor like it was the case in the brick-and-mortar world. You can reach any audience from anywhere in the world.
You can live where the cost of living is low while earning higher income from areas/countries with high purchasing power.
With technology, you can work from anywhere. That means if you need a change of scenery to get your creative juices running, you can grab your laptop in a backpack and work on the move or while out of town. You can connect from anywhere so far as you can access the internet.
With the issue of geography no longer a challenge, we are essentially global citizens. You can show your work to a global audience and receive payments from a global audience. What that means is that we should be global in outlook and always have it at the back of our mind that our audience is global. Who your audience is helps in planning how to communicate in a way that everyone understands.
The world is truly your stage. Show the world what you’ve got.
